Coaches... Why do we put so much time and effort into client-coach relationships?
Coaches do what they do for different reasons. But why do we put so much time and effort into a client-coach relationship?
Some coaches are so passionate that we do everything within our capabilities to guide clients toward their goals even if it puts ourselves out of our work/life balance, working around the clock at freakish hours of the day and night to meet time constraints that our clients require.
That my friends is not what you call a hobby, but definitely an investment for pride and joy.
Investment, pride, joy?
When a client fails, the first person you point the finger at is the coach - possibly destroying their reputation. However when your client reaches their goal and succeeds, the first person to receive all the credit is the client.
So why does a coach put in so much effort?
Why do we care so much?
Why do we put the clients first all the time?
Only a coach may understand this as words cannot explain why, but the joy we feel inside watching someone achieve their ultimate goal is indescribable. That warm fuzzy feeling we coaches receive reminds us that we are proud to be a coach and to hold the position we do within the health and wellness industry. Picture the feeling of giving a child a $2 coin.
Yes, this is a coach appreciation post! But also a massive thank you to every client who gives the process to achieving their goals 100% effort.
At the end of the day, it takes two to tango.
Next time your coach yells at you, remember it is because they are invested in YOUR progress!
